Role Playing

When you see a character in a movie struggling with their obligations, having a hard time finding what they need, and losing hope in their ability to feel happy, what do you do? I think we tend to root for them. We hope they turn a corner. We hope they find the strength to persevere.

In the movie of your life, where are you? Are you at the start? Are you struggling to move forward? How are you moving through your pain?

Root for yourself in the movie of your life. Picture that the hard work you’re putting in will be another great scene in the montage you’re creating of the progress you’re making. Remember that you’re the main character and give yourself the nurture you need to keep writing your story of resilience.

ACTION: Take a moment today to reflect on your movie.  Are you the hero facing challenges? Great! Now picture yourself conquering them, adding that scene to your personal montage of triumph.
