Start Over
This week is not going as planned, and it’s frustrating to put effort into planning and organizing only to encounter unexpected obstacles.
When my plans go sideways midweek, my initial reaction used to be to give up on the rest of the week. Though I do believe that taking some time off can be helpful, I don’t want to make that decision with a reactive, temper tantrum.
Now, I try take a minute to myself and choose to start over. It doesn’t matter what day of the week it is; I can declare the week over and begin a new one. I have the flexibility to restart my week or even my day whenever I feel the need. If that means taking time off, I want to make that decision with a clear mind, considering what is possible moving forward rather than dwelling on trying to change what has already passed.
ACTION: Decide to restart your day at any random time.
