Make Everything Easier

Every now and then, I take my laptop to a coffee shop to get some work done. I’ve also taken it to parks, campgrounds, friends’ places, rooftops, and more. While I have a perfectly good table at home that even turns into a standing desk with the push of a button, changing my environment increases my productivity. A fresh setting can make a familiar task feel new and energizing.

When I stock my home with only healthy snacks, I not only snack better but also snack less. (Believe it or not, those raisins are not that tempting.) Simplifying your choices to align with your goals helps you avoid daily temptations.

To check in on my mental health and gather new tools to manage my life more effectively, I joined a group. Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals can make it easier to adopt new habits and skills.

These tactics take experimentation. Maybe a coffee shop doesn’t work for you because the hustle and bustle is distracting. Try different environments, notice what works, and aim to repeat those strategies.

ACTION: Take one minute today to identify a small change you can make to your environment or routine to make your tasks easier. Implement it and observe the difference.
